Corporate & Commercial
This Department deals with a broad range of Corporate and Commercial matters. It is divided into two units namely:-
- Corporate Commercial; and
- Immigration.
Corporate Commercial
This unit deals with all aspects of commercial legal practice including, without limitation: formation of companies, administration of companies including regulatory compliance audit and advisory and statutory filings, registration of branches of foreign companies, mergers and acquisitions, reorganization and restructuring of companies, sale and purchase of businesses, registration of trusts, public benefits organizations (formerly known as Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs)), businesses, partnerships, clubs and societies, registration and administration of Co-operative societies and Saccos.
The unit also deals with ICT and telecommunications law, labour and employment law, corporate finance, joint ventures and preparation, negotiation and review of a wide range commercial agreements among other aspects of commercial practice.
Immigration
With the increasing interest by foreign investors and multinationals in Kenya as the gateway to Africa; and Nairobi fast becoming the regional business hub, the demand for immigration services has continued to rise.
This unit has been created to assist foreign investors and expatriates with legal advisory services on immigration matters; obtaining visas, special passes, dependant passes, work permits and applications for permanent residence and dual citizenship among others.
